Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

boundary composition 1:

The substance consists of several constituents.

Based on the available data on biotic and abiotic degradation, bioaccumulation and toxicity neither of the constituents fulfills the criteria for P, B and T(not PBT) or vP and vB (not vPvB).

The UVCB substance fulfils the screening criterion for persistence and toxicity. However, as the criteria for bioaccumulation are not fulfilled and therefore it is not a PBT or vPvB substance. No emission characterisation is performed.

The substance evaluation process for PBT properties is ongoing and a tiered testing strategy is required. The first tests on PC properties (water solubility and logKow) for one isomer of the constituent ditertbutyldiphenylamine have been completed. The study for biocacumulation (OECD 305) is still ongoing.

boundary compositions 2:

In addition to boundary composition 1, boundary composition 2 contains the impurity Diphenylamine. Nevertheless also this composition does not fulfill the criteria for P, B and T(not PBT) or vP and vB (not vPvB).

Likely routes of exposure:

Regarding all available data on biotic and abiotic degradation, bioaccumulation and toxicity it can be stated that the substance does not fulfill the PBT criteria (not PBT) and not the vPvB criteria (not vPvB).
