Description of key information

The bioconcentration factor of 7PPD (parent substance) is in the range of 1197. The bioconcentration factor of the two main hydrolysis products of 7PPD, 4-anilinophenol (4-hydroxydiphenylamine) and its oxidised form N-Phenylphenyl-p-benzoquinone monoimine, ranges from 3.3 - 49 and <1.2 - 23, respectively. The overoxised form of N-Phenylphenyl-p-benzoquinone monoamine (7PPD-N-Oxid) shows a BCF in the range ofcalculated BCF value of 3.16. A further degradation product is 1,4-dimethylpentylamine No BCF data are available for this substance. For read across data of the similar substance 1,3 -dimethylbutylamine were taken into account. The BCF values range from 1.7 - 17 (read-across form 1,3 -dimethylbutylamine). All three substances were investigated by the Chemicals Inspection & Testing Institute of Japan (MITI, 1994/95) according to OECD Guideline 305 C, using Cyprinus carpio as test organism
