Test on the toxicity of Triclosan to terrestrial organisms are available for all trophic levels. The most sensitive NOEC of 1.96 mg/kg soil was detected in a test on survival and reproduction of the mite Hypoaspis aculeifer. For Eisenia fetida a NOEC of 101.8 mg/kg based on reproduction and mortality was determined. In a test on ten plant species the most sensitve test plant was lettuce. The NOEC was 74 mg/kg for plant weight. A test on the toxicity of Triclosan to soil microorganisms determined a NOEC >2 mg/kg soil.

Two tests on oral and dietary toxicity of Triclosan to birds are available. The most sensitive NOEC was determined in Colinus virginianus. Based on mortality a NOEC < 147 mg/kg was detected.
