First-aid measures

SPECIAL GUIDANCE: OWN SAFETY: Helpers should ensure their own protection.
SKIN CONTACT: Wash with soap and water.
EYE CONTACT: Rinse continuously with water for several minutes keeping the eyelids open. Get medical advice/attention.
INHALATION: Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing.
INGESTION: Induce vomiting. Give charcoal. Get medical advice/attention.

Fire-fighting measures

SUITABLE EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: Choose suitable extinguishing media according to the surrounding area.
SPECIFIC HAZARDS: May emit toxic fumes of oxides of carbon, nitrogen, sulphur and hydrogen chloride during heating or fire.
SPECIAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT FOR FIRE-FIGHTERS: Isolating breathing apparatus eg. compressed breathing apparatus and isolating protective clothing.

Accidental release measures

PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS: Provide sufficient ventilation. Avoid dust formation.
ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS: Do not put into water system, drain or soil.
METHODS FOR CLEANING UP: Collect spilled powder without dusting into tight closed container. Wash spill site after material pick-up is complete.

Handling and storage

This substance is handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with REACH regulation Article 17(3) for on-site isolated intermediates.

When exposure is possible:
HANDLING: Avoid dusting.
STORAGE: Store in a well ventilated place. Keep container tightly closed. Store at normal storing temperature.

Exposure controls / personal protection

This substance is handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with REACH regulation Article 17(3) for on-site isolated intermediates.

When exposure is possible:
1. Technical protection measures
- Provide sufficient ventilation (local exhaust).
2) Respiratory protection
- In dust making work use respirator, filtration P3
- In laboratories work in fume hood or under dust control hood.
4) Hand protection
- Protective gloves.
- Suitable material : nitrile, Neoprene.
5) Eye protection
- Use protective goggles.
6) Skin and body protection
- Wear protective clothing.
7) Environmental exposure controls
- Avoid release to the environment.

Stability and reactivity

HAZARDOUS REACTIONS: Stabile in normal conditions.
HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSITION PRODUCTS: Oxides of carbon, nitrogen and sulphur.

Disposal considerations

Dispose of in accordance with local and national regulations and with the European Directives on waste and hazardous waste.
