First-aid measures

- General advice:

Obtain medical attention if any discomfort continues

- Following inhalation:

Remove casualty from exposure ensuring one's own safety whilst doing so. Consult a doctor

- Following skin contact:

Wash immediately with plenty of soap and water. Consult a doctor

- Following eye contact:

Bathe eye with running water for 15 minutes. Transfer to hospital for specialist examination. Consult a doctor.

- Following ingestion:

Do not induce vomiting. Consult a doctor

Fire-fighting measures

- Suitable extinguishing media:

Carbon dioxide. Alcohol resistant foam. Dry chemical powder

- Unsuitable extinguishing media:

Do not use water jet as an extinguisher as this will spread the fire

- Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:

In combustion emits toxic fumes of carbon dioxide / carbon monoxide. In combustion emits toxic fumes of nitrogen oxides

- Advice for fire fighter: Wear self contained breathing apparatus. Wear protective clothing to prevent contact with skin and eyes

Accidental release measures

- Personal precautions:

Do not create dust. Ensure there is sufficient ventilation of the area. Ensure there is exhaust ventilation of the area.

- Protective equipment and emergency procedures:

Half face respirator (EN140), protective gloves, safety glasses with side shields. Ensure eye bath is to hand. Protective clothing. Ensure safety shower is to hand

- Environmental precautions:

Do not discharge into drains or rivers

- Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Avoid all incompatible materials in clean up procedure. Transfer to a closable, labelled salvage container fro disposal by an appropriate method

Handling and storage

- Precautions for safe handling:

Ensure there is sufficient ventilation of the area. Avoid the formation or spread of dust in the air

- Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities: Store in a cool, well ventilated area out of sunlight. Keep container tightly closed.
