Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Quantities of non-intermediate uses are below 100 t/yr. Hence, additional standard information requirements according to Annex IX and Annex X are not to be fulfilled.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In Annex IX Section 9.1.6 column 2 of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, it is laid down that chronic tests on fish shall be proposed by the registrant if the chemical safety assessment indicates the need to investigate further the effects on fish of the substance and/or relevant degradation products on aquatic organisms. The acute L(E)C50 values for fish and aquatic invertebrates were determined to be in the same magnitude and the Risk Characterization Ratio of the risk assessment is below 1 for the local freshwater compartment. A long-term reproduction study with aquatic invertebrates (Daphnia magna) was performed (BASF SE, 2013; report no. 51E0454/11E137). Based on the results from this study, the substance is classified as Chronic Category 1. A long-term toxicity study with fish will not provide any relevant additional information.

Therefore, and for reasons of animal welfare, no long-term study on fish will be provided.

Moreover, quantities of non-intermediate uses are below 100 t/yr. Hence, additional standard information requirements according to Annex IX and Annex X are not to be fulfilled.
