Description of key information

The substance was shown to immediately dissociate in the following components when dissolved in water: zinc chloride, a zinc hexacyanocobaltate complex as well as polypropylene glycol plus tertiary butyl alcohol. As zinc chloride as well as the zinc hexacyanocobaltate complex are purely inorganic, an octanol-water partition coefficient can only be determined for polypropylene glycol and tertiary butyl alcohol.
Tertiary butyl alcohol, one component formed during the dissociation of the substance in aqueous medium, is characterised by an experimentally determined logPow of 0.35.
Polypropylene glycol, one component formed during the dissociation of the substance complex in aqueous medium, is characterised by a calculated logPow of -0.21.
In summary, the n-octanol-water partition coefficient of the substance ranges between 0.35 (tertiary butyl alcohol) and -0.21 (polypropylene glycol).
