First-aid measures

Description of first aid measures:- following inhalation  Remove to fresh air. If breathing stops, provide artifical respiration. Get medical attention immediately.- following skin contact  Wash off immediately with plenty of water. Continue to rinse for at least 15 minutes. Immdiately take of all contaminated clothing. Get medical attention if irritation develops and persists.  - following eye contact  In case of eye contact, remove contact lens and rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under eye lids, for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention.  - following ingestion  immediately give large quantities of water to drink. Never give anything by mouth to a victim who is unconscious or is having convulsions. Call a physician or poison control centre immediately.  Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed:- None known

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinduishing media - Carbon dioxide, dry chemical or waterUnsuitable extinguishing media - None knownSpecial hazards arising from the substance - Dust may form explosive mixture with air. Hazardous decomposition products formed under fire conditionsSpecial protective equipement for firefighters - Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective clothingSpecial fire fighting procedures - Not available

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures - Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye/face protection. See Exposure Controls/Personal Protection information that follows below.  Environmental precautions - Avoid discharge into drains, water courses or onto the groundMethods and material for containment and cleaning up - Do not sweep. Collect spill using a vacuum cleaner with a HEPA filter. Be aware of potential for dust explosion when using electrial equipment. If vacuum is not available, lightly mist/wet material and remove by mopping of wet wiping

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling - Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Wash hands thoroughly after handling. See Exposure Controls/Personal Protection information that follows. Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities - Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well ventilated place.

Exposure controls / personal protection

12 hour internal company OEL: 500 micrograms/m3 (12 hour TWA)Appropriate Engineering controls - Open handling is not recommended. Use appropriate control measures such as fume hood, ventilated enclosure, isolator (i.e. glovebag/glove box) and/or closed transfers to maintain airborne levels below OEL.Hand protection - Protective gloves complying with EN374. Chemical resistant gloves.Eye/face protection - Safety glasses with side shields conforming to EN166Respiratory protection - Use a properly fitted, air purifying or air fed respirator complying with an approved standard if a risk assessment indicated that it is necessary. Respirator selection must be based on known or anticipated exposure levels, the hazards of the product and the safe working limits of the respirator.  Use respirators and components tested and approved under appropriate government standards such as CEN (EU)

Stability and reactivity

Reactive - Not water reactiveThermal stability - This material may be thermally unstable at temperatures that occur during routine handling, storage or transportation.  This material should not be packaged or stored above the following temperature 210oC. This temperature is based on a laboratory test (DSC) and asumes near atmospheric pressures and quantites of less than 500kg.

Disposal considerations

Dispose in accordance with local regulations
