First-aid measures
is difficult, contact a physician. If decomposition gases
are inhaled, move to fresh air and get medical attention.
In the event of inhalation of gases generated by high
temperature decomposition of the product, treat for hydrogen
fluoride inhalation. Excessive exposure to thermal
degradation products could result in delayed pulmonary edema
in some cases, and on very high exposure, damage to the
liver and kidneys.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately flush with large amounts of water for
10 - 15 minutes. If irritation occurs, get medical
attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash affected area with soap and water. Remove contaminated
clothing.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Consult a physician immediately.
Fire-fighting measures
Product arising from burning: Toxic and corrosive products, including Hydrofluoric Acid,
Perfluoroisobutylene, and Carbonyl Fluoride may be formed by
at very high temperatures.

Protective equipment: Use NIOSH/MSHA approved self-contained breathing apparatus
(SCBA) and full bunker gear.
Accidental release measures

and cover with absorbent material. Solution of this material
must be cleaned up promptly before they dry. Collect the
spilled material in a container and seal. Spilled material
is a slipping hazard. Runoff from fire fighting efforts
involving this material may contain hydrofluoric acid.
Depending on the concentration, this should be contained and
treated prior to discharge.
Handling and storage
Use only in well ventilated areas.
Safety showers and eyewashes should be available in the work
area.
Ensure good ventilation in the workplace. Close containers
after each use.
Wash hands thoroughly after handling. Wash clothing after
use.
Keep away from heat, sparks and ignition sources. Protect
against electrostatic charges.
Electrically ground all equipment when handling this product
and use only non-sparking tools.
If smoking tobacco becomes contaminated by this material,
exposure to toxic gases through inhalation can occur.
Therefore, do not smoke in the work areas and wash hands and
face after handling in order to avoid transfer of the
material onto smoking materials.
Storage: Do not store with flammable materials, such as solvents or
oils.
Do not allow material to be exposed to excessive heat.
Store material at 0 1/4C (32 1/4F) to 40 1/4C (104 1/4F) in
place.
Keep material away from sparks and flames.
Keep container tightly closed when not in use.
