First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air.  Give oxygen or artifical

respiration if needed.  Seek medical attention.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Flush eyes immediately with plenty of water for 15 minutes.

Seek medical attention.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash affected area immediately with plenty of water. If

irrition develops, seek medical attention.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.

Recommended extinguishing agent: Carbon dioxide, dry chemical, foam and water spray may be

used.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon,

nitrogen and sulfur together with some soot.

Protective equipment: Full personal protective clothing and a self-contained

breathing apparatus should be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Eliminate all sources of ignition. Isolate spillage.

Personal protective equipment should be worn (see 2.3.1).

Sweep up spill or use industrial vacuum fitted with suitable

dust filtration system. Transfer to suitably labelled

containers and dispose of in accordance with local

regulations.

Handling and storage

Handling: Avoid dust formation. Impermeable gloves, goggles, dust mask

and personal protective equipment should be worn. The

substance should be handled in a suitably ventilated area.

Storage: Store in tightly sealed containers in a cool dark place,

away from foodstuffs and sources of ignition.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: T-271 preparation is packaged into either one gallon or one

quart glass containers.

of at an authorised landfill site in accordance with local

scrubbing to remove oxides of sulfur and nitrogen should be
