Skin contact: Immediately remove contaminated clothing. Wash affected area thoroughly with warm water using a mild soap.

Eve contact: Immediately flush eyes with water and continue washing for at least 15 minutes.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing materials:

- Water

- Dry powder (BC-powder)

- Alcohol resistant foam

- Regular foam

- Carbon dioxide

Hazardous Combustion products:

Burning can produce the following combustion products:

Carbon dioxide.

Carbon monoxide.

Oxides of tin.

Other harmful gases and vapors may be formed.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions:

Avoid contact with skin and eyes, provide sufficient ventilation.

Environmental precautions

Prevent from entering sewer system, surface water or soil.

Methods for cleaning up

Exposure controls / personal protection

Exposure Limit values:

8 hours, skin = 0.1 mg/m^3

15 minutes, skin = 0.2 mg/m^3

VME = 0.1 mg/m^3

VLE = 0.2 mg/m^3

Personal Protection:

Respiratory protection - Gas filter type A, if HSE occupational exposure limit or MAK-value will be exceeded.

Hand protection / protective gloves - Protective gloves, of PVC or rubber.

Eye protection - Safety glasses.

Skin protection - Chemical resistant protective clothing.

Industrial hygiene measures - Do not eat or drink at work. Immediately remove contaminated clothing.

Stability and reactivity

Incompatible materials:

If stored and handled as instructed: none

Oxidizing agents, and strong acids and bases are considered to be incompatible materials.

Hazardous combustion products:

Burning can produce the following combustion products: Carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and oxides of tin.

Disposal considerations

Minor quantities of waste water (essentially comprised of reaction water distilled off during manufacturing) are treated in an onsite sewage plant. Solids (used filters) are incinerated.
