Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The particle size distribution of Manganese (II) acetate was determined to be between 777 and 592 µm with a median of 650.6 µm.

Additional information

The information gained from this study was used for this endpoint summary because it is the only available (key) study.

The study was well-performed and the results can therefore considered to be reliable. The particle size distribution of Manganese (II) acetate between 777 and 592 µm with a median of 650.6 µm can consequently be used to assess the possible risk to health and environment arising from its physico-chemical properties. The particle sizes of the present Manganese (II) acetate belong with a median size of 650.6 µm (i.e. >100 µm) consequently neither to the respirable, thoracic nor inhalable fraction and can pose therefore no risk for health effects by inhalation. Also, dermal absorption is limited by large particle size.
