First-aid measures

General information: Immeditaely remove any clothing soiled by the product.

After inhalation: Remove victim from contaminated are. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. If breathing stops, provide artificial respiration. Call a doctor.

After skin contact: Immediately wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly. Seek medical treatment.

After eye contact: Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water.

After swollowing: Do not induce vomiting; call medical help immediately.

Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

Seek medical treatment.

Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed: Local irritation symptoms.

Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed: Symptomatic treatment.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media

Suitable extinguishing agents: Foam, Fire-extinguishing powder, Carbon dioxide (CO2).

Use fire-fighting measures that suit the environment.

For safety reasons unsuitable extinguishing agents: Water.

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: Formation of toxic gases is possible during heating or in case of fire.

Advice for fire fighters: Protective equipment: Wear self-contained respiratory protective device.

Do not inhale combustion vapours.

Additional information: Cool endangered receptacles with water spray.

Dispose of fire debris and contaminated fire-fighting water in accordance with official regulations.

Collect contaminated fire-fighting water separately. It must not enter the sewage system.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures: Wear protective clothing.

Environmental precautions: Do not allow to enter sewers/surface or ground water.

Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:

Absorb with liquid-binding material (sand, diatomite, acid binders, universal binders, sawdust).

Ensure adequate ventilation. Make sure to recyle or dispose of in suitable receptacles.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling: Ensure good ventilation/exhaustion at the workplace.

Information about protection against explosions and fires: Observe the general rules of industrial fire protection.

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:

Requirements to be met by storerooms and receptacles: Not required.

Information about storage in one common storage facility: Store away from foodstuffs. Store away from feed.

Refer to national regulations for storing hazardous chemicals.

Further information about storage conditions: None.

Storage class: 12 Non combustible liquids.

Specific end use(s): No further relevant information available.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Additional information about design of technical systems: None

Control parameters:

Components with limit values that require monitoring at the workplace: Not required.

Additional information: The lists that were valid during the creating were used as basis.

Exposure controls:

Personal protective equipment:

General protective and hygienic measures:

The usual precautionary measures should be adhered to when handling chemicals.

Keep away from foodstuffs, beverages and feed.

Wash hands before breaks and at the end of work.

Do not eat or drink while wiorking.

Avoid contact with eyes and skin.

Use skin ptotection cream for skin protection.

Breathing equipment:

under normal conditions of use not required.

Use a suitable respiratory protective device in case of insufficient ventilation.

In case of brief exposure or low pollution use a respiratory filter device. In case of intensive or longer exposure use a respiratory protective device that is independent of circulating air.

Short term filter device: Combination filter: ABEK

Protection of hands:

Chemical resistant gloves.

The glove material has to be impermeable and resistant to the product/substance/preparation.

Selection of the glove material in consideration of the penetration times, rates of diffuision and the degradation.

After use of gloves apply skin-cleaning agents and skin cosmetics.

Material of gloves:

The selection of suitable gloves does not only depend on the material, but also on further marks of quality and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer.

Penetration time of glove material:

The exact penetration time has to be found out by the maufacturer of the protective gloves and has to be observed.

As protection from splashes gloves made from the following materials are suitable:

Nitrile rubber, NBR

(Thickness: 0.35mm; Permeation time 30 minutes)

Butyl rubber, BR

(Thickness: 0.5mm; Permeation time 30 minutes)

Eye protection: Tightly sealed goggles.

Body protection: Use protective suit.

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity:

Chemical stability:

Thermal decomposition / conditions to be avoided: No decomposition if used and stored according to specifications.

Possibility of hazardous reactions: No dangerous reactions known.

Conditions to avoid: No further relevant information available.

Incompatible materials: No further relevant information available.

Hazardous decomposition products: No hazardous decomposition products if instructions for storage and handling are followed.

Disposal considerations

Waste treatment methods:

Recommendation: Adhering to the official regulations, it can be disposed of in an appropriate incinerator.

Must not disposed of together with household garbage. Do not allow to reach sewage system.

Must be recycled or disposed of according to the regulations. Waste has to be classified according to the European Waste Catalogue based on the identification of the waste generating source.

Uncleaned packagings:

Recommendation: Disposal must be made according to official regulations.
