First-aid measures

Skin contact: Quickly and gently, blot or brush away excess chemical. Immediately flush with water for 15 minutes.
Wash the contaminated skin with soap and water. If irritation develops, call a physician.

Eye contact: Immediately flush the contaminated eye(s) with lukewarm, gently flowing water for 15 minutes, or until the chemical is removed.
Hold the eyelids open. Get medical attention if irritation or other symptoms exist.

Inhalation: Remove to fresh air and get medical attention if cough or other symptoms develop. Overexposure to
mists and vapors may cause irritation to the upper respiratory tract.

Ingestion: Not expected to be toxic by ingestion. If irritation or discomfort occurs, obtain medical advice.

Fire-fighting measures

Material may burn, but does not ignite readily.
Appropriate Extinguishing Media: Water spray Dry chemical Carbon dioxide Alcohol foam
Basic Fire Fighting Guidance: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and clothing. Normal fire-fighting procedures may be used.

Accidental release measures

Personal Precautions:
Evacuation Procedures: Isolate the hazard area and deny entry to unnecessary and unprotected personnel.
Special Instructions: Remove all contaminated clothing to prevent further absorption. Leather shoes that have been saturated must be discarded.

Environmental Precautions: Prevent releases to soils, drains, sewers, and waterways.

Containment Techniques and Clean-up Procedures: Vacuum, sweep or scoop material into a chemical waste container. After collection of material, flush spill
area with water. Scrub area with detergent and water. Contain spilled liquid with sand or vermiculite and place in chemical waste container. Prevent runoff from entering drains, sewers, and streams. Large spills: Shut off leak if safe to do so.

Handling and storage

Precautions for Safe Handling: Wear appropriate protective equipment when performing maintenance on contaminated equipment. Wash hands thoroughly before eating or smoking after handling this material. Avoid generating dusts and mists.

Storage Precautions & Recommendations: Keep container closed when not in use. Store in a cool, dry area, away from heat, flame and other ignition sources.

Incompatibilities: Incompatible with strong oxidizing agents.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Exposure Control Limits: ACGIH TLV: (Stearates) 10 mg/m³

Exposure controls: All operations should be conducted in well-ventilated conditions. Local exhaust ventilation should be
provided. If user operations generate dust, fume, or mist, use ventilation to keep exposure to airborne
contaminants below the exposure limit.

Personal Protective Equipment: Impervious nitrile gloves (EN374); Chemical goggles if dust is generated (EN166). Use a P2 respirator if dust is generated.

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity: Not dangerously reactive.
Chemical stability: Stable
Possibility of hazardous reactions: Not expected to occur.
Conditions to avoid: Avoid generation of dust. Avoid heat and contact with incompatible materials
Incompatible materials: Incompatible with strong oxidizing agents
Hazardous decomposition products: Products of incomplete combustion may include CO, CO2, NOx, and dense smoke.
