Designated National Authority (DNA)

Each Member State shall designate the authority or authorities (DNAs) to carry out the administrative functions foreseen by the PIC regulation. Information on DNAs includes contact details and whether they are responsible for industrial chemicals, pesticides or both. To the extent possible, ECHA also makes similar information available for non-EU countries.

It is possible to search for DNAs either by country or by selecting EU, non-EU, or all DNAs.

Note: the United Kingdom has withdrawn from the European Union on the 31 January 2020. However, in accordance with the withdrawal agreement, the United Kingdom continues to comply with the PIC regulation until the end of the transition period (31 December 2020). The UK DNA for PIC therefore remains involved in the implementation of the PIC Regulation, and their contact details are accessible below from the list of EU countries.
