Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. Symptomatic treatment.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Flush eyes with plenty of water for several minutes. Seek
medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash affected area with plenty of soap an water for several
minutes. If skin irritation develops. Seek medical
attention.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Symptomatic treatment.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water/fog, dry powder, foam or carbon dioxide may be used.
Water or foam may cause frothing. Use water to cool fire
exposed containers.
Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon and
nitrogen together with some soot. Aldehydes and ketones may
also be formed.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Full personal protective clothing and a self-contained
breathing apparatus should be worn.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Isolate spillage and ventilate spillage area. Wear suitable
protective clothing. Take up spillage with appropriate
absorbent material such as sand or soil. Transfer to
suitably labelled containers and dispose of by incineration
acording to local regulations. Do not allow into
watercourses.
Handling and storage
Handling: Avoid skin and eye contact. Chemical and petroleum
resistant gloves, goggles or face shield (BS 2092 and BS
7028) and chemical resistant overalls should be worn. The
substance should be handled under Local Exhaust Ventilation.
If exhaust ventilation is inadequate, a suitable, approved,
respirator should be worn.
Storage: Store away from heat and open flame. Handle and store in
ISO containers in accordance with local regulations.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: The substance will be imported in 20 tonne bulk containers.
The TFA-4713/kerosene mix will also be distributed in 20
tonne bulk containers (very limited quantities in drums).
The gasoline containing TFA-4713 will be distributed in
petrol tankers to petrol stations.

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for recycling is not possible.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: None known.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended method at a suitable facility using temperatures
in excess of 1200 deg C. Flue gas scrubbing to remove oxides
of nitrogen should be fitted. (A663)
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for reuse is not feasible.
Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - others: Dispose of waste as for petroleum products.
