First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Move to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If symptoms arise, call a physician
Emergency measure - Eyes: Remove from source of exposure. In case of contact, immediately flush eyes with plenty of
water. Call a physician immediately.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove from source of exposure. Wash off immediately with plenty of water for at least 15
minutes. If skin irritation persists, call a physician.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Remove from source of exposure. Rinse mouth. Drink plenty of water. Never give anything by
mouth to an unconscious person. Do not induce vomiting without medical advice. Consult a
physician if necessary

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, foam, carbon dioxide and dry powder may be used.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon,
nitrogen and sulfur together with hydrogen chloride gas and
soot.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Protective clothing and a self-contained breathing apparatus
should be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing (see exposure controls). Contain
spillage. Sweep up or collect using an industrial vacuum.
Transfer to suitable labelled containers and dispose of by
incineration in accordance with local regulations. Wash
spill site thoroughly with water. Avoid discharge to water
courses.

Handling and storage

Handling: Ensure adequate ventilation and control dust formation. Full
body tyvek coverings with hood and shoe covers, two pairs of
gloves (latex inner, thicker outer glove) and a full face
air purifying respirator with high efficiency particulate
filter (or supplied air respirator) should be worn. Hands
and face should be washed thoroughly after handling, keeping
latex gloves on until all potentially contaminated, personal
protective equipment are removed.

Storage: Store in a double, polyethylene lined bag, inside an air
tight UN approved fibre drum, remote from heat.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Store in a double polyethylene lined bag inside a UN
approved fibre drum.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Critical points for possible workplace exposure are product sampling, subdividing and dryer unloading. Engineering controls in the form of closed transfer systems with local exhaust ventilation are provided during these operations.

When they are not sufficient to control exposure, approved respiratory protection should be worn. PPE: coverall type 5 and 6 UNI EN ISO 13982- EN13043, neoprene gloves EN374; full face respirator EN136 (OPERATING PROTECTIVE FACTOR = 400 OEL) with filter A2B2E2K2P3

Stability and reactivity

Danger other than fire: None reported.

Chemical reaction with water: None reported.

Dust explosion determined by test: N

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration of hazardous waste

Waste water stream:sent to a waste water treatment plant with activated aerobic sludges that oxidize all the biodegradable components:.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will not enter the public domain.
