Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: If inhaled, remove to fresh air. If breathing is difficult,
give oxygen.

If not breathing, give artificial respiration. Get medical
attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: In case of contact, immediately flush eyes with plenty of
water for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention if
irritation occurs.
Emergency measure - Skin: In case of contact, immediately flush skin with plenty of
water.

Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash clothing before
reuse. Thoroughly clean shoes before reuse. Get medical
attention.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Do NOT induce vomiting unless directed to do so by medical
personnel. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious
person. Get medical attention if symptoms appear.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: In case of fire, use water spray (fog), foam or dry
chemicals.

Product arising from burning: The products are carbon oxides (carbon monoxide, carbon
dioxide), sulfur oxides (sulfur dioxide, sulfur trioxide,
...).

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Fire fighters should wear appropriate protective equipment
and selfcontained breathing apparatus (SCBA) with a full
facepiece

operated in positive pressure mode.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Immediately contact emergency personnel. Keep unnecessary
personnel away. Use suitable protective equipment.

Avoid dispersal of spilled material and runoff and contact
with soil, waterways, drains and sewers.

If emergency personnel are unavailable vacuum or carefully
scoop up spilled materials and place in an appropriate
container for disposal. Avoid creating dusty conditions

and prevent wind dispersal.

Handling and storage

Handling: When handling observe the usual precautionary measures for
chemicals. Avoid formation and deposition of dust. If dust
is generated ensure effective ventilation. Vent waist air
only via suitable separators or scrubbers. When exposure
cannot be prevented or adequately controlled, appropriate
personal protecion equipment should be worn, i.e. protective
clothing, gloves and goggles. Any contact with skin and
eyes, swallowing and the inhalation of dust are to be
avoided. When transferring the substance dust formation
should be avoided, if necessary a combination filter

against organic vapours and particles has to be worn, e.g.
DIN 3181 ABEK. Precaution should generally be taken against
electrostatic charges according to the equipment used and
the way the product is handled and packaged.

Wash hands before breaks and at end of work. Keep
workingclothes separate.

Keep separated from foodstuffs.

Storage: Keep container dry and tightly closed in a cool and well
ventilated place.

Vent waist air only via suitable separators or scrubbers.
Storerooms are to be maintained according to the principles
of a good industrial hygiene.

Containers that have been opened are to be tightly closed
after use.

Avoid contamination of containers with the product.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Containers with an inlay of polyethylene.
