Conclusion on classification

HCFO 1224yd(Z) has not been classified for the environment. Data are available for short-term toxicity to the three trophic levels (invertebrates, algae and fish).

The lowest recorded freshwater EC50 was for algae growth rate at >4.87 mg/l and the reported NOEC (growth rate) was 4.87 mg/l. In this study no effects were observed but due to the difficulty of the test item the maximum measured mean concentration was 4.87 mg/l. As such, HCFO 1244yd(Z) does not meet the criteria to be classified as Aquatic Acute toxicity (criteria for classification is an EC/LC50 of <1mg/l) and does not meet the criteria for Aquatic Chronic toxicity (criteria for classification is an NOEC <1).
