Determination of test item by gas chromatography - Reference substance:
- benzoic acid, sodium salt
- Key result
- Parameter:
- % degradation (DOC removal)
- Value:
- 0
- Sampling time:
- 28 d
- Details on results:
- An almost theoretical amount of the test item remained in the abiotic control (water + test item) and the test suspension (inoculum + test item). The average percentage biodegradation by BOD was 0% after 28 days. No peak except the test item peak was detected on the GC chromatograms. This result showed that there was no degradation product. From the above it was concluded that the test item was not biodegraded under the test conditions of this study.
- Parameter:
- BOD5
- Value:
- 0 mg O2/g test mat.
- Results with reference substance:
- The average percentage biodegradation of the inoculum and sodium benzoate was 74% after 28 days.
- Validity criteria fulfilled:
- yes
- Interpretation of results:
- under test conditions no biodegradation observed
- Conclusions:
- The test item was not biodegraded under the test conditions of this study.
- Executive summary:
HCFO-1224yd(Z) was not biodegraded under the test conditions of this study.
