First-aid measures

Description of first aid measures:

Remove from exposure. Remove contaminated clothing.

In case of inhalation:

Remove from exposure site to fresh air and keep at rest. Obtain medical advice.

In case of skin contact:

Remove any contaminated clothing or shoes. Wash affected areas thoroughly with soap and water for at least 15 minutes.

In case of eyes contact:

Remove contact lenses. Hold eyelids apart. Flush immediately with water for at least 15 minutes.

In case of ingestion:

If swallowed, Rinse mouth with water. Do not induce vomiting. Obtain medical advice.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media:

Suitable extinguishing media: Carbon dioxide, dry chemical or appropriate foam.

Unsuitable extinguishing media: Not applicable.

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture

Emits toxic fumes under fire conditions (See also Section Hazardous decomposition products).

Advice for fire-fighters:

Firefighters must Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective clothing to prevent contact with skin and eyes.

Accidental release measures

SECTION 6: Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:

For non-emergency personnel:

Remove ignition sources. Provide adequate ventilation. Avoid inhalation of vapour or dust. Avoid skin and eye contact.

For emergency responders:

Wear an appropriate NIOSH/MSHA approved respirator if mist, vapor or dust is generated.

Environmental Precautions:

Avoid disposing into drainage/sewer system or directly into the aquatic environment.

Methods for Containment and Cleaning up:

Small spills may be flushed away with copious water. Absorb large spills with sand or inert powder.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling:

Protective measures:

Wash thoroughly after handling. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. Use only in a well-ventilated area. Use with adequate ventilation. Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing. Keep containers closed.

Advice on general occupational hygiene:

Wash thoroughly after handling. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. Use with adequate ventilation

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:

Store in a cool, dry and well ventilated place. Keep away from sources of ignition - No smoking. Keep container tightly closed. Store separately from oxidizing agents.

Disposal considerations

Waste treatment methods

Waste disposal in accordance with current laws and regulations, Avoid disposing into drainage/sewer system or directly into the aquatic environment.

Product / Packaging disposal:

According to local regulations. Emptied container might retain product residues. Follow all warnings even after the container is emptied. Do not shred containers before they are thoroughly cleaned from product residues.
