In air oxidation occurs before boiling, an
exothermic effect with an onset of 448 K (175 °C). In nitrogen the
product showed a wide
endothermic effect with several peaks at temperature interval 533-723
(260-450 °C) which can be
interpreted as both boiling and decomposition of the product; boiling of
the low Mw part, which
followed by decomposition of the higher Mw part. After measurement, the
crucible had a yellowbrown
colour, indication of decomposition of the product during heating at the
