Description of key information

Dirubidium oxide is a yellow brown hygroscopic cubic crystalline solid, which decomposes at 400 oC and has a density of 4.0 g/mL. Because of the nature of the substance – it’s an inorganic solid with a high melting point and is hydrolytically unstable – no further testing is required. The substance is classified as ‘Water-react. 1’ (H260), but is not classified under any other physicochemical hazard CLP endpoint.
