Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Reference
Endpoint:
short-term toxicity to fish
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is highly insoluble in water, hence indicating that aquatic toxicity is unlikely to occur
Justification for type of information:
A QSAR evaluation was carried out for the substance, to assess its potential for toxicity to fish. The logKow value of 6.13, which is itself a QSAR result, was used as input. The value for water solubility used in the assessment was 0.3 mg/l. The logKow of the substance is 6.13, which is above the cut-off value of 5.0, for the neutral substance, which, according to the model, means that no effects are expected at saturation for this endpoint. The LC50 for this endpoint is taken as 0.3 mg/L for derivation of the PNEC.
Reason / purpose for cross-reference:
data waiving: supporting information
