Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air; give artificial respiration if

breathing has stopped. Symptomatic treatment. Seek medical

attention.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse eyes thoroughly with plenty of water. Seek medical

attention.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash contaminated skin with running water and soap. Seek

medical attention.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: If conscious, drink water or milk and do not induce

vomiting. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious

person. Symptomatic treatment. Seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray, foam.

Product arising from burning: Carbon oxides, hydrogen chloride, hydrogen sulphide.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Wear full protective clothing and self-containing

respiratory protection. Protective gloves should be worn to

prevent skin contact. Safety glasses with shield should be

worn at all times.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Take up spilled substance in a dry state avoiding the

formation of dust (e.g. using an industrial vacuum cleaner

of approved type) and into suitable containers for disposal.

Consider local and national regulations with the disposal of

the substance.

While taking up the substance, prevent skin and eye contact

as well as inhalation it. For this purpose, wear the

personal protective equipment described under "handling".

Handling and storage

Handling: Inhalation of the substance as well as skin and eye contact

must be avoided. As far as possible, dustproof equipment

should be used during filling, transfer and metered feeding

as well as during sampling. Any dust that can form should be

extracted directly at the point of origin. If technical

extraction or ventilation measures are not possible or are

insufficient, respiratory protection (e.g. :::) should be

worn. To avoid skin contact, the wearing of tested

protective gloves (e.g. :::) is recommended. To avoid eye

contact, safe eye protection (e.g. :::) should be worn.

Storage: Store in tightly closed containers (dry conditions, under

inert atmosphere) in well ventilated areas at 2 - 8 °C.

Avoid substance on the outside of the containers.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: 20 kg polyethylene bags, placed in alumina composite foil

bag, sealed and placed in fiber drums for mechanical

stability.
