Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Any other information on results incl. tables

Thermal sensitivity (effect of a flame)

Thes with the 6.0 mm diameter orifice plate on the Acetyl Glycyrrhetinic acid sample are described below:

-      widening of the flame from around 62 seconds

-       culmination phase from around 122 seconds with white smokes and spurts

-       end of culmination phase at around 160

-       end of the any event after around 186 seconds

Thes with the 2.0 mm diameter orifice plate on the Acetyl Glycyrrhetinic Acid sample gave the same results described above except for a more intense flame. No one of the six test performed (three with the 6.0 mm orifice plate and three with the 2.0 orifice plate) produced the fragmentation of the steel tube contained the Acetyl Glycyrrhetinic Acid sample.

Mechanical sensitivity (shock)

Explosions did not occur (bursting into flame and/ or a report is equivalent to explosion) in anyone of the six test performed whit impact energy of 40 J on a sample of Acetyl Glycyrrhetinic Acid

Then the sample of Acetyl Glycyrrhetinic Acid resulted not sensitive to shocking.

Mechanical sensitivity (friction)

Explosion did not occur (crepitation and/or a report or bursting into flame are equivalent to explosion) in anyone of the six test performed with whit a loading of 360 N on a sample of Acetyl Glycyrrhetinic Acid.

Then the sample of Acetyl Glycyrrhetinic Acid resulted not sensitive to friction.
