Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Conclusions:
- Based on the anion, the log Pow of the substance at pH 7 and 20°C was determined to be <-2.9.
Based on the cation, the log Pow of the substance at pH 7 and 20°C was determined to be -1.1. - Executive summary:
The log Pow of the substance was determined using the shake-flask method in a GLP study according to EC A.8, OECD 107 and OPPTS 830.7550. The shake-flask method was performed at pH 7. At pH 7 the substance is in its dissociated form (anion and cation). Quantitative analysis was performed by LC-MS for the cation and by IC with conductivity detection for the anion.
Based on the anion, the partition coefficient Pow at 20°C and pH 7 was determined to be <1.3E-3 (standard deviation of 4.2E-4). Log Pow: <-2.9.
Based on the cation, the partition coefficient Pow at 20°C and pH 7 was determined to be 7.8E-2 (standard deviation of 2.2E-3). Log Pow: -1.1
