Sampling time:
28 d

HPLC revealed the test substance was eliminated in the (sludge + test substance) systems and dramatically decreased in the (water + test substance) system, indicating the test substance undergoes degradation and remains as degradation product in water.

Comparison of HPLC retention time and mass spectrum using N-cyclohexylmaleamidic acid (predicted degradation product) reference standard confirmed the formation of N-cyclohexylmaleamidic acid.

Interpretation of results:
readily biodegradable
Conclusions:
Under the conditions of this study N-Cyclohexylmaleimide was found to be readily biodegradable.
