Description of key information

According to REACH regulation annex IX column 2, 9.4 "These studies do not need to be conducted if direct and indirect exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely."

Ozone is a gas and will move to the atmosphere after being released in the environment. Ozone is a reactive substance which will, as soon as it comes into contact, react immediately with soil components such as organic material and metal ions. Significant exposure of soil microorganisms is considered unlikely. During normal use of ozone in the envisaged applications, no exposure of soil microorganisms to ozone from biocidal use is expected.
