Test L2 in UN Recommendation on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, PartIII, Sub Sec 32.5.2

The test material is pre-heated to the desired temperature, after which the surface is exposed to a flame through a small orifice. If the
vapour immediately above the sample surface ignites, the temperature is recorded as the flashpoint. The temperature may be reduced or increased as necessary in order to obtain the precise point at which the vapour ignites.
