Description of key information

The acute toxicity of zinc, 5,5'-azobis-2,4,6(1H,3H,5H)-pyrimidinetrione complexes and melamine to daphnia magna was investigated in a semi-static GLP study following OECD 202. The study reported of no effects after 48 hours of exposure at the limit test concentration (EC50 of >5.38 mg/L, EL 50 of >100 mg/L).

Additional information

Should read > 5.38 mg/L.

No effect was reported up to the highest test concentration and taking into account that the water solubility of zinc, 5,5'-azobis-2,4,6(1H,3H,5H)-pyrimidinetrione complexes and melamine is 0.52 mg/L it can be concluded that the substance does not cause toxic effects with Daphnids.
