One key study is available reporting for zirconium dichloride oxide a D50 of 391 µm. Additionally the D90 and D10 were 875 µm and 83 µm, respectively (Butler, 2010).
The particle size of zirconium dichloride oxide was determined by
measurement of SEM photos (N-1 and N-4) (Butler, 2010), as due to the
solubility of the material wet light scattering could not be carried
out. Also the brittle nature of crystalline material means that any dry
flowing technique could cause particle breakdown.
