Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Secondary poisoning

Hazard assessment conclusion:
no potential for bioaccumulation

Additional information

For the aquatic environment (water and sediment) no PNECs can be derived due to the absence of adverse effects of DINP based on acute and chronic testing. This conclusion is in line with the conclusion of the EU RAR for DINP (2003).

For the soil compartment a PNEC of 30 mg/kg d.w. can be concluded.

Conclusion on classification

DINP is not classified or labelled for the environment based on the lack of acute and chronic aquatic toxicity, ready biodegradability, and low bioaccumulative potential according to criteria identified in 67/548/EEC.
