Carbon disulfide will be mainly found in air. It has no affinity for the soil compartment, the Log Koc value is 1.5, therefore it will not adsorb into sediment or soil. Moreover, the Henry law constant is high, with a value of 1748 Pa·m3/mol at 25 ° C at 1 atm. Distribution modeling with CS2indicate that concentrations in air and water are negligible, which further support the prediction that CS2will partition in the air.
