Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

14C-radiolabelled TBBPA-DBPE was applied onto 4 different soils. Soils were incubated at aerobic conditions in the dark up to 121 days. Further sterillized subsamples of each soil were prepared and also treated with the radiolabelled test item at the same time.

Total recovery of radioactivity from the samples was predominantly above 97% of the initial total radioactivity(ITR) in the sterilized subsamples as well as in the non-sterile subsamples. From the recovered radioactivity only minor amounts (3% maximum) were due to non extractable residues which could not be defined by chemical analysis. All the rest was identified as unchanged 14C-TBBPA-DBPE. Volatiles were detected only in trace amounts.

From the results of the study the test item is assessed to be stable against transformation in soils at aerobic conditions.
