Description of key information

thermally stable (Schürch, DTA, with air, tested up to 69 °C)
thermally stable (Schürch, DTA, without air, tested up to 150 °C)
not self-reactive (Bailey, DSC)
not self-reactive (Bailey, DSC)

Additional information

Three studies are available. All are considered to be reliable and adequate, and are carried forward for use in risk assessment, classification and labeling.

The substance is considered to be stable at room temperature.

Waivers for "self-heating properties" and "corrosive properties to metals" are provided to document the corresponding non-classification (CLP).

Justification for classification or non-classification

No classification for self-reactive substances exists in Directive 67/548/EEC.

The integrated exotherm ΔH (screening test) was less than 300 J/g. The substance does not meet the criteria for classification (see Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008, Annex I, Part 2, section 2.8.2.1 (d)). The available experimental test data are considered reliable, suitable for classification purposes and conclusive.
