Executive summary:

The density of PBSF was determined using an oscillating densitimeter as permitted by test guidance OECD TG 109. An Anton PAAR DMA58 Density Meter was used and calibrated against known densities of dry air and pure water. The density of PBSF at 25 °C is 1.700 g/cm3.

Determining density by an oscillating densitimeter is permitted by test guidance OECD TG 109, but this study has deviations from the guideline. OECD TG 109 states that the densitimeter has to be calibrated with two liquids of known density and preferably liquids with densities which span the range into which the investigation falls. This study was calibrated with only one liquid. Therefore this study is classified as reliable with restrictions.
