First-aid measures

After inhalation: Provide fresh air. Medical treatment necessary.

After contact with skin: After contact with skin, wash immediately with: Water. Change contaminated clothing.

After contact with eyes: In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of flowing water for 10 to 15 minutes holding eyelids apart. Consult an ophthalmologist.

After ingestion: Rinse mouth immediately and drink plenty of water. Medical treatment necessary.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: Co-ordinate fire-fighting measures to the fire surroundings.

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: Can be released in case of fire: Carbon monoxide. Carbon dioxide (CO2). Nitrogen oxides (NOx).

Hydrogen chloride (HCl).

Advice for firefighters: Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus and chemical protective clothing.

Additional information: Suppress gases/vapours/mists with water spray jet. Contaminated fire-fighting water must be collected separately. Do not allow to enter into surface water or drains.

Handling

The substance is handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with REACH regulation Article 18(4) for transported isolated intermediates.

Specifically the substance is rigorously contained by technical means during its whole lifecycle; procedural and control technologies are used to minimise emissions and any resulting exposures; only properly trained and authorised personnel handle the substance; special procedures such as purging and washing are applied during cleaning and maintenance works, in cases of accident and where waste is generated, procedural and/or control technologies are used to minimise emissions and the resulting exposures; and substance-handling procedures are well documented and strictly supervised by the site operator.

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities: Keep container dry. Keep container tightly closed. Keep locked up. Store in a place accessible by

authorized persons only. Keep container in a well-ventilated place.
