Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Supply with fresh air.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse immediately with water also under the eyelids for

15 minutes. Consult an eye specialist immediately.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash effected skin with water and soap.

If skin irritation persist seek medical advice.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Rinse mouth with water and drink plenty of water.

Seel medical advice immediately.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray jet, foam, dry powder, carbon dioxide.

Product arising from burning: Carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, not completely burned

hydrocabons/ aromatic compounds, hydrogen fluoride, sulfur

oxides, antimony oxides.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Use chemical protection suit and a self contained

respirator.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Take up spilled substance in a dry state avoiding the

formation of dust (e.g. using an industrial vacuum cleaner

of approved type) and into suitable containers for disposal.

The containers label in accordance with Technical Rule 201.

Consider local and national regulations with the disposal of

the substance. While taking up the substance, prevent skin

and eye contact as well as inhalation of it. Wear personal

protective equipment (see in this regard point 2.3.10

handling). Clean contaminated area.

Handling and storage

Handling: All working methods must be designed so that exposure by

inhalation of the substance and by skin contact is minimized

and eye contact is excluded. All working methods must be

designed so that exposure by inhalation of the substance and

by skin contact is minimized and eye contact is excluded.

Closed or at least splashproof equipment should be used

during filling, transfer and metered feeding as well as

during sampling. In the case of handling in open systems,

any dust that can form must be extracted directly at the

point of origin. The extracted air may only be returned to

the work area after adequate cleaning using tested

equipment. If technical extraction or ventilation measures

are not possible or are insufficient, respiratory protection

(e.g. half mask with protection filter P3) should be worn.

To avoid skin contact, tested protective gloves (e.g. out of

viton) and, if applicable, suitable protective clothing

(e.g. single use overall or single use arm sleeves) should

be worn. Safe eye protection (e.g. goggles) is absolutely

essential. Adequate washing facilities should be available

in the immediate vicinity of the work area and eye douches

should be made available and their location indicated

conspicuously. After skin contact, the affected parts of

the skin shoud be cleaned thoroughly using water and soap.

Special skin-protection and skin-care measures are

recommended. A skin-protection plan should be drawn up.

Outdoor clothing should be kept separate from working

clothes.

Storage: For the storage the original packaging drums or other

unbreakable and correctly labelled containers are to be

used. Keep containers tightly closed at room temperatur and

secure by suitable measures against falling down. Avoid

product residues on the packing drums.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Closable plastic container.
