Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Water solubility (EU test method A.6, GLP): < 1 µg/L (approximate limit of detection) at 20 °C
Water solubility (ETAD-method): 3.9 µg/L at 23 °C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
3.9 µg/L
at the temperature of:
23 °C

Additional information

The water solubility of the test item was determined using the column elution method according to Directive 84/449/EEC, method A.6 under GLP. The water solubility of the test item was determined to be below the limit of quantification (4 µg/L) at 20 °C. It was in the range of the detection limit, where the extinction at the absorption maximum could still be read well and the shape of the absorption band could still be recognized. Considering the amount of test item used as well as the dilutions applied, water solubility is lower than 1 µg/L.

In a second test according to ETAD-method a water solubility of 3.9 µg/L was measured. This value is ranked in the same order of magnitude as the result obtained by EU-method A.6.

Concluding, the test item must be considered as insoluble in water.
