Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

215 °C

Additional information

The auto-flammability of the test item was determined according to EU test method A.16 under GLP with original test data interpreted in analogy to the Grewer Oven Test.

The onset of self-heating was around 187°C. Between 215 and 217 °C the sample temperature reached 400 °C and increased to a maximum of 473 °C.

In a second Grewer Oven Test auto-flammability was investigated similar to Directive VDI 2263, Sheet 1. Onset self-heating was observed at 220°C.

Based on results of these screening tests, a requirement for classification as self-heating according to CLP regulation (1272/2008) cannot be ruled out. A classification requirement cannot be excluded at temperatures equal to or below 220°C. As the resulting self-ignition temperature for the submission substance was between 215 °C and 217 °C in the key-study and 220°C in the supporting study.
