The vapor pressure value at 25 ºC was obtained from the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), Design Institute for Physical Property Data (DIPPR) Database.  Test methods and conditions, including purity of the test material, used to measure vapor pressure were not identified in the Database.

Conclusions:
A vapour pressure value of 132 Pa at 25°C was reported in a handbook or collection of reliable data which has been subject to peer-review and in which the original data sources are traceable. The result is considered to be reliable.

Additional information

A measured vapour pressure of 132 Pa at 25°C (based on interpolation from temperature-vapour correction) was reported for the substance in a collection of reliable data which has been subject to peer-review and in which the original data sources are traceable. The result is considered to be reliable and selected as key study. Similarly, a measured vapour pressure of ~110 Pa and 160 Pa at 20°C and 25°C respectively were determined for the substance using the static method (ebulliometer) in accordance with OECD TG 104. In addition, a vapour pressure value of 124.5±6.2 at 25°C was determined for the substance using an acceptable scientific method. The key value is in agreement with the UK RAR for octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane.

In other secondary sources to which reliability could not be assigned, vapour pressure values of 132 Pa at 25°C, 82 - 96 Pa at 20°C and 122 -139 Pa at 25°C were reported for the substance.
