Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The relevant available data on Amines, N-C12-18-alkylbis(trimethylene)tri, reaction products with N-C-12-18-alkyltrimethylenediamines and formic acid was analyzed to assess its potential toxicokinetic behaviour. The UVCB consists of ca. 50 different compounds of which some are lipophilic n-alkanes that feature formamide moieties and can be expected to be neutral in the physiological pH range. Most of the constituents are n-alkanes that are only partly formylated and contain primary or secondary amine groups which are positively charged at in the physiological pH range. Overall the absorbance via passive diffusion is expected to be low. Phagocytosis of test-item containing lipid complexes might be probable at high doses and lead to absorption via the oral and the respiratory route. The metabolisation of amines and formamides are common reactions of xenobiotic metabolism. Therefore a tendency for bioaccumulation is not expected. Metabolites will be excreted both via urine and bile (feces) depending on the size and charge of the molecules.
