Description of key information

The 72h-ErC50 and 72h-NOErC are > 1000 and 1000 mg/L respectively in a OECD guideline 201 test with Selenastrum capricornutum under GLP (reliability 2, no specific chemical analysis).

The toxicity of (hydroxyethyl)urea to the Unicellular Green Alga, Selenastrum capricornutum, was evaluated according to OECD TG 201. The 72 -hour EbC50 and ErC50 values were estimated to be >1000 mg a.i. /L. The 72-hour NOEC was 1000 mg a.i. /L. All results were based on the nominal concentrations.
