The very low pH of the test solutions at the end of the test period (pH
0.1 to 0.6) suggests that the substance was hydrolysed during testing.
This is consistent with the observation in the biodegradation test that
"The test item was hydrolyzed completely and converted into
2,2-difluoro-3-hydroxy-propionic acid and fluoride ion under the test
condition of the study". This also explains why the log Pow is so high
(log Pow = 5.3) for an apparently water soluble substance.
