Two experiments were performed at 984 hPa:

- boiling point measured in the first experiment: 511 K (238°C)

- boiling point measured in the second experiment: 513 K (240°C)

- mean: 512 K (239°C)

The two results showed a difference of 1 K (within the required limit of 2 K max).

For high boiling temperatures, the mean measurement error with this method is +/- 5 K. Therefore the boiling temperature at standard pressure was not calculated with the Sidney Young equation, as the possible correction of +/- 1.5 K is lower than the measurement error.

Two independent determinations were conducted according to OECD Guidelines No. 103 and EU Method A.2.
Under the test conditions, the boiling point of the test item at 984 hPa was stated as 512 K +/- 5 K (239°C +/- 5°C).
Executive summary:

The boiling point was measured twice according to Siwoloboff's method. Results were 238°C and 240°C at 984 hPa (+/- 5°C).

From these results, the boiling point at 984 hPa was stated as 239°C +/- 5°C.

No observations were made which might cause doubts on the validity of the study outcome. Therefore, the result of the study is considered as valid.

The Siwoloboff method recommended for pure substances and mixtures in the OECD guideline does not allow to determine a boiling point range. This is considered as acceptable for the purpose of REACH registration.
