Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Parent substance (ca. 40% w/w silane and ca. 60% w/w methanol): ca. 455 °C based on read-across from methanol.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

There is no reliable measured data for the auto-ignition of the parent substance. It is appropriate to read-across flammability data from methanol to the parent substance since it comprised of ca. 40% w/w silane and ca. 60% w/w methanol. The presence of the silane components in the solution are expected to raise the auto-ignition temperature above that of pure methanol.
