This study was performed in order to evaluate aerobic elimination and degradation potential of the test substance throughout a 39-day period in a test for ready biodegradability, using a nominal test substance concentration of 100 mg/mL in an activated industrial sludge, (adapted model). The degradation was followed by determination of the oxygen consumption. Measurements were taken at the following days: 19, 20, 25, 28 and 39. Based on the results of the read across study, the degree of biodegradation reached 30 - 40 % after 39 d, therefore the test substance is considered to be not readily biodegradable (BASF, 1988).
