Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Conclusion on classification

1,6-HDDMA is readily biodegradable but log Pow is > 4,0. Acute toxicity data (based on experimental test or QSAR) are available for all three trophic levels. Chronic data were predicted by QSAR for algae and daphnia. Based on acute toxicity data fish and algae are the most sensitive species within the same range of toxicity. Classification is based on the NOEC algae (72h), QSAR: 0,488 mg/l into category chronic 3, H412. Chronic data fish are available for the more hydrophobic member of the category, TMPTMA, where NOEC fish (32d) was 0.138 mg/l. As 1,6-HDDMA Chronic 3, H412 hydrophobic and the toxicity is based on narcosis a NOEC fish less than 0.1 mg/l is not expected.

Therefore, based on log Pow and NOEC chronic 0,1 - <= 1 mg/l, 1,6-HDDMA will be classified into category chronic 3, H412.
