Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The estimated logKOW was 14.85 (C12) and 16.32 (C13).

The BCFBAF version 3.00 programme of the EPI Suite software (EPIWEB 4.0) was used to predict either a log BCF of 0.5 (BCF of 3.16 L/kg) based on a regression estimate or a log BAF of - 0.05 (BAF of 0.893 L/kg) based on the Arnot-Gobas upper trophic model both using the smiles code because the log POW was > 8. Based on the expected kinetic behaviour in the body substantial amounts of 1,2,3-Propanetricarboxylic acid, 2-hydroxy-, tris(C12 -13 branched-alkyl) esters will not accumulate in the body, because it will be hydrolysed, absorbed and efficiently metabolised into water soluble metabolites, which is supported by the molecular structure of 1,2,3-Propanetricarboxylic acid, 2-hydroxy-, tris(C12 -C13 -branched alkyl) esters. Therefore the test item has no potential for bioaccumulation. The reliability of modelled log KoW values > 10 is not known. The aquatic BCF of a substance is probably lower than 2000 if the calculated log Kow is higher than 10.
